What's Included in Every Installation
- UL 1449-listed Type 2 SPD, 80kA–120kA surge-current rating
- Installation by a licensed Texas electrician (TECL #40628)
- Grounding system verification — an SPD is only as good as your ground
- Permit and inspection where required by your city
- On units with a status light, a walkthrough of what it shows so you can tell protection is active
Why a Panel-Mounted Protector Instead of Power Strips
A plug-in strip protects only what is plugged into it. A panel-mounted SPD covers the hardwired loads a strip cannot reach, such as the HVAC system, appliances and an EV charger. The two work together: keep point-of-use protection on sensitive electronics, because a panel SPD limits a surge rather than eliminating it.
